A Weinor glass room can be tailored to suit the style of your home, the layout of your garden and the way you want to use the space. Options can include glass roofs, sliding glass doors, fixed side glazing, electric roof blinds, integrated LED lighting and a wide choice of frame colours to match or complement your existing windows and doors.
For many homeowners, a glass room offers the perfect middle ground between a fully enclosed conservatory and an open patio. It gives you shelter, light and flexibility, without losing the feeling of being connected to the outdoors.
Why Choose a Glass Room?
A glass room is one of the most effective ways to extend the use of your garden, patio or decking area. It creates a sheltered space that can be enjoyed for dining, relaxing, entertaining or simply spending more time outdoors.
Unlike a standard canopy, it can provide protection on multiple sides, helping to reduce exposure to wind and rain while still keeping your view open. Sliding glass doors can be opened when the weather is warm or closed when conditions change, giving you far greater control over how you use the space.
A professionally designed glass room can also add a striking architectural feature to your home. With slim aluminium frames, clear glass panels and a choice of colours and finishes, your new room can be designed to feel like a natural extension of the property rather than an afterthought.
Glass Rooms Designed Around Your Home
Every property is different, so every glass room we install is designed around the home, the garden and the customerβs lifestyle.
We can help you consider:
The size and shape of the glass room
Frame colour and finish
Glass roof style
Sliding glass doors or fixed side panels
Roof blinds or undershades for comfort
LED lighting for evening use
Integration with existing patios, decking or balustrades
Drainage, access and overall layout
Whalley Construction has extensive experience in high-end outdoor projects, including composite decking, glass balustrades, awnings and Weinor installations. That means we can look at the whole outdoor space, not just the structure itself, and help you create a finish that feels complete.
Glass Patio Roofs
If you are not looking for a fully enclosed glass room, a glass patio roof can be a superb alternative. A glass roof provides overhead shelter while keeping your outdoor area bright, open and visually connected to the garden.
Ideal for patios, terraces, seating areas, outdoor kitchens and dining spaces. They allow you to enjoy your garden even when the weather is unpredictable, while still allowing plenty of natural daylight into the adjoining rooms of your home.
A glass roof can also be upgraded over time with side glazing, sliding glass doors, blinds, lighting or heating, depending on the system chosen and your long-term plans for the space.
Weinor Pure and Weinor Terrazza Glass Rooms
Weinor systems are particularly popular with homeowners looking for a premium glass room or veranda. Their products offer clean lines, durable aluminium frames and bespoke design options, making them suitable for both traditional and contemporary properties.
The Weinor Pure and Weinor Terrazza systems can be used to create elegant glass patio roofs and glass rooms that feel light, modern and practical. They are made to measure, allowing the structure to be designed around the property rather than forcing the property to fit the product.
Frame colours can be chosen to match existing windows and doors, and optional extras such as roof blinds and LED lighting can make the space more comfortable and usable throughout the day and into the evening.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
A glass room is a sheltered outdoor living space usually created with a glass roof and glass side elements such as fixed panels or sliding doors. It allows you to enjoy your garden with more protection from wind and rain while still feeling connected to the outdoors.
-
No. A glass room is usually an unheated outdoor living space, whereas a conservatory is normally built as a more permanent, insulated extension to the home. A glass room is ideal if you want a bright, sheltered garden space without the feel of a traditional extension.
-
In many cases, yes. Some Weinor glass roof systems can be enhanced with side glazing, sliding doors, blinds, lighting or heating. This makes them a flexible option if you want to start with a covered patio and add more features later.
